To assist the client accounting team with the preparation of financial statements for the clients of the Butterfield Trust Group, having due regard to the client’s needs, statutory requirements and the Butterfield Trust Group’s high standards. To assist in maintaining the integrity of the accounting records for the clients of the Butterfield Trust Group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Client accounting, to ensure that a high level of service is provided to the clients of the Butterfield Trust Group in the following areas:
- Preparation of draft financial statements for the clients of the Butterfield Trust Group;
- Review of computerised accounting records prior to the preparation of financial statements;
- Review of the minute books, statutory records, trust documents and correspondence files of the clients of the Butterfield Trust Group for which financial statements are prepared;
- Where necessary, liaise with auditors to facilitate their work and requirements.
Your qualifications and skills include:
- Strong knowledge of the computer systems used by the Butterfield Trust Group, including iManage and NavOne;
- Strong knowledge of the preparation of financial statements for Trusts and Companies;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory environment;
- Review exception reports on a periodic basis and clear exceptions arising;
- Problem solving/accounting queries;
- Special projects, complaints investigations.
