Personal Banking Representative
The position reports directly to the Vice President, Branch Banking and is responsible for assisting clients with their retail banking requirements, either by completing transactions or referring them to other departments as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting upon client requests while adhering to Bank policies and procedures, including:
- Opening and closing accounts
- Scanning application packages and various documents into electronic folders
- Performing maintenance on accounts including address changes, signatory amendments or other changes to static data
- Completing applications for credit and debit cards
- Completing applications for Fixed Term Deposit Accounts
- Transferring funds between accounts
- Completing applications for Standing Orders
- Reactivating Dormant Accounts
- Ordering of Cheque and Deposit Books
- Handling general inquiries and complaints or referring clients to the appropriate department
- Cross-selling products and keeping abreast of new products and services
- Providing relief support for the Front Desk reception area
- Ensuring due diligence is applied as it relates to the Bank Code of Conduct and Anti-Money Laundering procedures
Your qualifications and skills include:
- University degree or equivalent qualifications with four years’ Retail Banking experience
- Complete understanding of bank policies and procedures
- A strong knowledge of core banking systems would be an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and keep abreast of changes in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with a good track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with a wide range of banking products
- Demonstrated ability to deal with customers in a mature and professional manner
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
