This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Consumer Credit and is responsible for managing a mortgage and loan portfolio. This role is a front-line position focused on building and supporting the department to achieve a high standard of customer service while building our credit portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Meeting with potential and existing clients for personal loans, mortgages and various other credit products.
- Reviewing applications and providing written presentations for approval and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Resulving customer queries, including identifying new and existing client needs and making appropriate recommendations
- Reviewing and reporting on existing mortgages and adhering to security processes.
- Cross selling other Butterfield products and services and making referrals to other departments.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge and understanding of internal policies and procedures
- Providing guidance to team members and assisting with the achievement of departmental goals.
Your qualifications and skills include:
- University degree in Business Administration or related discipline with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Experience with use of PC software Word, Filemaker Pro, and Excel.
- Highly effective interviewing skills with proven ability to build client relationships and secure new business.
- Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in working comfortably within a team environment that may be subject to time restraints
- Familiarity with a wide range of banking products
