National Heroes Day Banking Hours

Butterfield will be closed on Monday, 13 November, for the Remembrance Day public holiday. Our Banking Centres will reopen on Tuesday, 14 November, at 9 a.m. To access your accounts, please use Butterfield Online and our ATM network.

Old Sterling Banknotes – removed from circulation on 1 October 2022.

Please be advised that as of Saturday, 1 October 2022, Butterfield will not accept old paper sterling notes for banking deposits or transactions as they will no longer be legal tender. The official last day of use is Friday, 30 September 2022.

Butterfield clients are encouraged to deposit old notes or swap them out for the new polymer ones at any Butterfield Banking Centre before Saturday, 1 October 2022. From this date, only polymer sterling banknotes will be accepted.

We will be closed on Monday, 23 January 2023 for National Heroes Day. Our Midtown Plaza Banking Centre will be this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and otherwise all Banking Centres will reopen on Tuesday, 24 January 2023, with normal operating hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. You can continue to access your accounts during the public holiday by using our Butterfield Online, ATM and mobile banking devices.

Holiday Banking Hours:

Butterfield will be closed from 2 p.m. on Friday 23 December and will reopen 9 a.m. Wednesday 28 December, 2022.

We will close again from 4 p.m. on Friday 30 December, 2022 and will reopen 9 a.m. Tuesday 3 January, 2023.

To access your accounts, please use our Butterfield Online, ATM and mobile banking services. Saturday Banking hours will resume as normal on March 4th.

Hurricane Lee Advisory: Please be advised that our offices and Banking Centres in Bermuda will be open for business from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. today.

The ATMs at Collector’s Hill, Modern Mart, Somerset MarketPlace and Somerset Banking Centre are back in service and Saturday banking will be available tomorrow at Front Street from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

We are pleased to report the issue with debit card settlements has been fixed for the vast majority of accounts impacted, and we are working to correct the few outstanding. If you still see an issue with your account and you require access to blocked funds immediately, please contact the call centre.

Please be advised that our Banking Centres will be closing at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, 6 October. Butterfield Online will also be unavailable this weekend from 4:00 p.m. on Friday, 6 October until Monday, 9 October at 9:00 a.m. as part of a scheduled systems update.

Assistant Vice President, Group Content Marketing

The role of the AVP, Group Content Marketing oversees the development of marketing content for multiple channels to drive business opportunities for Butterfield and to deepen customer relationships across business segments. The role is responsible for both the direct creation of Group content, and collaborating / coordinating to ensure that content produced by others is strategic, consistent, and effective.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and inspiring the development of first-class content inclusive of articles, presentations, videos, infographics, and data visualization to target audiences across digital channels through structured content creation and processes for sourcing information, analysing, and creating content.
  • Coordinating within the marketing team to support cross-jurisdictional marketing activities such as product marketing, group marketing / business development materials, etc.
  • Working to ensure that all the narratives and messages across the Group are in support of the content strategies and editorial decisions formulated along with the VP, Group Strategic Marketing, Group Head of Marketing & Communications, and key stakeholders in the Marketing & Communications team and business segments.
  • Leveraging agency relationships to design and implement measurement systems that actively measure, manage, optimize and communicate the performance of the content put out by the business segments against their operational objectives and strategies.
  • Actively supporting the VP, Strategic Marketing & Communications in customer research, including formulating questionnaires and surveys; gathering information on the industry and competitive environment to validate themes for the business’s content; and developing well-informed topics and themes for content creation.
  • Playing a consultancy role for the Marketing & Communications team, offering strategic counsel in their content planning, development, channel selection and focus and editorial, as well as overall strategies for key events and projects inclusive of major business conferences, and other key initiatives.
  • Other duties as are necessary, directed by the VP Group Strategic Marketing & Communication.

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
  • At least 10 years of working experience in marketing strategy and the development and execution of creative content
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in written and verbal form. Must have a strong ability to engage and persuade varying audiences even on technical subjects
  • Capacity to manage internal and external meetings in a structured way, and demonstrate an ability to drive culture and our values through the department
  • Keen interest and competency in technology, marketing automation and software. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Experience specifically with Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, Jira and Meltwater would be an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, showing deep interest in research and analysis of business-related content. Must possess the ability to interpret marketing data in gauging success of content and campaigns, communicating insights, and translating insight into action
  • Time consciousness and being able to finalise projects within given time-frames and multi-tasking skills - having an ability to prioritize tasks
  • Commercially driven with an aptitude to create business opportunities and deepen client relationships through great content output
  • Collaborative and relatable, with the ability to engage easily with people and build strong and long-lasting relationships within the department, with business leaders and stakeholders, partners and clients

The Marketing & Communications team manages both internal and external communications, keeping numerous audiences up-to-date through traditional and digital channels. It plays an integral role in providing direction and support for the promotion of the Bank’s products, services and community activities including sponsorships, advertising, events, media and community relations, and management of the Bank’s website and social media.
