Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resource Operations, Compensation & Benefits, the Assistant Vice President, Compensation & Benefits will be responsible for the day-to-day management of programmes and processes within the Bermuda-based Compensation & Benefits team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage all Bermuda-based compensation and benefits programmes, processing and reporting
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of all Bermuda-based employee compensation and benefits programs
- Take a leading role in compensation and benefits SOX Audits and provide guidance as required
- Lead system configuration requests and liaise with vendor representatives as necessary to ensure seamless running of the payroll function at all times
- Review and sign off on payrolls and related reconciliations ensuring that the documentation aligns within established controls, procedures and legislative requirements
- Oversee local participation in annual Government employment and salary surveys as applicable
- Manage, develop and coach the team identifying training opportunities
- Establish, implement and conduct annual reviews of related policies and procedures including the Employee Handbook to ensure consistent application of current practices
Your qualifications and skills include:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Human Resources, or a related discipline with five years’ relevant HR management experience, preferably within Compensation & Benefits
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits programmes
- Strong technical skills with MS Office, Payroll and HRIS Systems
- Knowledge of local employment legislation
- Ability to maintain confidential information and operate with absolute discretion at all times
- Must be results orientated, customer focused and operate with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent management, communication, mediating and consulting skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment
