Reporting to the Head of Private Banking, the Associate Private Banker will be responsible for managing, developing and growing a portfolio of High Net Worth clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- managing, developing and growing a portfolio of high net worth clients while achieving specific business development and sales targets as specified in the Private Banking Financial Plan
- identifying the appropriate bank products and services to meet client specific needs and facilitate the provision of these services to clients
- preparing and presenting credit proposals ensuring that they meet the Bank’s policy, risk appetite and target return, whilst identifying opportunities for additional revenue
- working with Client Relationship teams across the Bank in providing a top class service to all clients
- ensuring all applicable laws, regulations and Bank policies and procedures are fully understood and that they are implemented effectively on a day to day basis. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring all relevant anti-money laundering, and KYC regulations and procedures are effectively applied on an ongoing basis
- guiding, coaching and developing Client Relationship Officers assigned to your Private Banking portfolio
Your qualifications and skills include:
- university degree, equivalent qualification or at least five years relevant experience
- professional designation i.e. Certified Financial Planner (“CFP”) Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) Trust and Estate Practitioner (“TEP”) would be an asset
- thorough knowledge of both local and international regulatory framework specifically as it relates to financial services sector
- sound knowledge of financial service products e.g. money and capital markets, lending, investments, bank orientated products
- ability to operate in a busy environment meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external customers
