Administrator, Banking Operations
Reporting to the Supervisor, Banking Operations, the Administrator is primarily responsible for handling and processing routine tasks and clients instructions, along with ensuring optimal support and service to clients and other business units while keeping losses to a minimum.
Your responsibilities will include:
- performing day-to-day activities in Banking Operations as they relate to the proofing of data, verification of data input and investigations that relate to clients and suspense accounts
- processing transactions accurately and promptly to ensure efficient service to clients and to avoid losses
- adhering to applicable processes, procedures and information security policies
- supporting product delivery, decision-making and recommendations, and ensuring understanding of relevance on processes and procedures
- investigating and responding to enquiries in a prompt and professional manner, assisting team members with routine processing issues, referring complex situations or escalating potential risks or system issues to leadership
- maintaining effective communication with leadership, reporting and updating on issues,concerns and successes
- taking responsibility for job expectations, performing self-evaluations and providing feedback on individual performance
- determining ones own training needs, and actively participating in learning and development courses and cross-training
- performing designated tasks in the absence of the Supervisor
- supporting junior team members when required, which may include performing clerical tasks to ensure continued operations
- contributing to a minimum internal audit rating of “Satisfactory” for the department
- may be required to work on shifts, after normal working hours and weekends to meet the demands of the department or function

Your qualifications and skills:
- high school graduate with a minimum of four O’Level / CXC passes
- minimum of three years banking experience within Banking Operations would be an asset
- must be able to own and solve problems with minimal supervision
- able to work independently, handle high work volumes, multi-task, and motivate peers; may be required to assist in supervising teams in the Supervisor’s absence
- good command of the English language, both oral and written
- proficient in office systems and computer software programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
