Elliott Doucy
Elliott Doucy joined Butterfield in Guernsey in 2019 as part of the ABN Amro acquisition as Head of Legal & Corporate Governance for the Channel Islands & United Kingdom.
Prior to the acquisition, Elliott spent 3 years with ABN Amro as legal counsel for the Channel Islands’ business and was also a member of the Global Legal Senior Management Committee. The focus of Elliott’s practice at ABN varied amongst finance, corporate/commercial, regulatory and litigious matters.
Prior to this, Elliott worked in private practice for over 16 years for both ‘white-shoe’ onshore law and offshore law firms, specializing primarily in finance, funds and regulatory matters.
Elliott has extensive finance, corporate and commercial and regulatory experience. He was called to the Solicitors Roll of England & Wales in 2005 and was later admitted to practice as a lawyer of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in 2012 and currently holds a Practicing Certificate in accordance with the Solicitors Act 1974. Elliott was also awarded a Diploma in Company Direction by the Institute of Directors in 2019.
