Local charities secure funding boost from Butterfield’s Charitable Trust in the Channel Islands
St Peter Port, Guernsey and St Helier, Jersey – 14 September 2026: The Butterfield Charitable Trust – Channel Islands has awarded over £60,000 in funding to a range of local charities across Guernsey and Jersey, supporting community, health and cultural initiatives.
Now in its second year, the funding programme provides grants to organisations delivering projects that benefit islanders, with a focus on community support, inclusivity and wellbeing. This year’s recipients include Channel Islands Air Search, Guernsey Mind and Jersey Mind who are running a pan island programme.
Richard Saunders, Managing Director of Butterfield in the Channel Islands and the UK, said: “We understand the vital role charities play in supporting and strengthening our local communities. Through this programme, we are proud to support organisations that make a real difference to the lives of islanders.”
Recipients were selected by the independent Charitable Trust Committee based on their impact and the measurable benefits of their work.
In Guernsey support was provided to Guernsey Bereavement Service, Guernsey Voluntary Service, Guernsey Kidney Patients Association, Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, St James in partnership with Health Connections and the Guernsey Arts Commission.
In Jersey grants were made to Music in Action, Dementia Jersey, Jersey Employment Trust, Caring Cooks, Sanctuary Trust and Pain Support Jersey.
