2025 Butterfield Scholarships Awarded
George Town, Cayman Islands—03 September 2025: Butterfield has awarded its annual scholarships to three promising students, including talented Caymanian Zoe Echenique Bowen, who will receive $30,000 for the upcoming academic year. These scholarships can be maintained for up to four academic years.
Zoe has been awarded the Butterfield Undergraduate Scholarship granting $30,000 per year towards her studies in Business and Management at the University of Bristol. She is the former Deputy Head Girl of Cayman Prep & High School and has received the prestigious Gold Award in the Student Leadership Accreditation Program, awarded by SSAT. Outside of her academic achievements, Zoe is a keen volleyball player and is the Editor Officer for Key Club, working collaboratively to manage community service projects including beach clean ups and fundraising for local charities, including Meals on Wheels.

Butterfield has awarded two further scholarships in its other core banking jurisdictions, with Jeriel Fernandes from Bermuda who has received the Sir Harry D. Butterfield Undergraduate Scholarship to study Mathematics and Economics, majoring in Business, at the University of Liverpool and Olivia Morgan receiving the Butterfield Channel Islands Undergraduate Scholarship to study Business and Management with Innovation at the University of Bristol.
