Vice President, Senior Wealth Advisor
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Head of Private Banking, and has responsibility for the Wealth Advisory Service offered to Private Banking clients. The Senior Wealth Advisor builds investment and financial plans for clients and prospects, while also managing and developing a book of High Net Worth (‘HNW’) relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Wealth Advisory Service offered to Private Banking clients in Bermuda
- Working with the Private Bankers and, where appropriate, directly with HNW prospects and clients to gather and analyse their financial information, create and present an appropriate plan, and recommend the implementation strategy. Monitor and adjust client plans as appropriate on a regular basis
- Managing and developing a portfolio of HNW client relationships, focused on Banking, Asset Management & Trust
- Providing and maintaining a high level of service, interaction with clients and acting as the single point of reference for all client needs
- Identifying new business opportunities and prospect target clients; with the goal of achieving agreed targets
- Developing a network of Group and external contacts with the aim of introducing new business opportunities
- Cross-selling the Bank’s products and service
- Managing and mentoring direct reports
- Maintaining an understanding of economic, business and other relevant matters
- Any other duties that benefit this management position
Your qualifications and skills include:
- University Degree or equivalent in business or finance
- Applicant must have the Certified Financial Planning designation (CFP)
- At least 10 years’ progressive experience in building, implementing, and monitoring financial plans for HNW clients
- Extensive experience with Monte Carlo goals-based and wealth projection modelling
- Thorough understanding of modern portfolio construction theory and ability to educate prospective clients on topics including risk budgeting, asset allocation analysis, and sustainable withdrawal rates
- Strong sales skills with proven negotiation and business development skills combined with an ability to close new business
- Superior presentation and communications skills
