Private Banker, Private Banking
Reporting to the Head of Private Banking, this is a service focused role where the incumbent is responsible for managing, developing and growing a portfolio of high net worth clients. It is essential that the incumbent has the ability to develop and expand relationships involving complex financial structures with high net worth clientele and a broad knowledge of the banking industry with specific knowledge in the areas of Trust, Asset Management and Lending. Ideally the candidate will have a detailed knowledge of the local and international regulatory framework as it relates to the financial services sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- managing, developing and growing a portfolio of high net worth clients
- providing professional wealth management financial services by proactively managing relationships to determine banking, credit, investment, financial and estate planning needs
- representing Butterfield at high profile marketing events in order to promote the business and services
- reviewing and authorising new business in line with policy
- preparing and presenting credit proposals
- identifying appropriate bank products and services to help our clients grow and develop their wealth
- ensuring consistent adherence to relevant legislation, regulations and Bank policies and procedures
- keeping abreast local and international economic, financial, political and legislative events, trends and climate, which could impact the performance of financial services market
- representing Butterfield at all times in a manner that portrays the ideals and image of the Bank as a trustworthy and reputable corporate citizen. Maintain excellent community relations in order to uphold the Bank’s visibility and community standing
Your qualifications and skills include:
- relevant undergraduate degree, an advanced degree or professional qualification would be an advantage
- detailed knowledge of both the local and international regulatory framework
- excellent analytical, oral, written, and presentation skills
- five plus years’ relevant working experience gaining knowledge of credit, capital markets, risk management, compliance, private banking, financial planning, estates/trust and tax services
