Credit Analyst, Consumer Credit
This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Credit. The Credit Analyst supports the Consumer Credit team in developing and servicing a portfolio of lending customers and prospects, while delivering superior service.
About the team
At Butterfield, our Personal Banking team takes the time to get to know each individual customer and fully understand their financial needs. The team offers a variety of products from chequing and saving accounts, to mortgages and personal loans, along with foreign exchange, personal insurance and more. At Butterfield it is our team’s professional approach and core values that allow us to deliver our distinct service to our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support for the preparation of credit presentations and follow up, including analysing financials, preparing documentation, corresponding with attorneys, and responding to general account enquiries and banking requests.
- Interviewing clients for loans and other credit related facilities, and resolving clients queries and concerns.
- Developing a network of internal and external contacts with the aim of introducing new business opportunities, assist in achieving targets through the development of existing and new relationships.
- Arranging meetings and tracking prospective clients, following up on external and internal introductions; reviewing client database to capture information changes and recording developments.
- Preparing weekly sales tracking figures for review.
- Maintaining an understanding of economic, business, and other relevant matters.
Your qualifications and skills include:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification with at least five years’ relevant experience.
- Ability to deliver superior service and thereby gain the confidence and trust of existing and new clients.
- Knowledge of credit, risk analysis, lending and banking products and services.
- Ability to work well under pressure and carry out multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
