Applications Analyst – Digital Banking
We are seeking an experienced Applications Analyst to support with the development, maintenance and monitoring of Butterfield’s Core and Digital Banking applications. Reporting to the VP, Group Applications and working closely with the broader Group Information Technology team, this role will provide a variety of support services, including application change, configurations, integration to the Oracle Banking Applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- designing business processes and workflow strategies for the management, access and retrieval of data
- providing Level-2 support for Core and Online Banking Payment solutions applicatio
- co-ordinating implementation activities between internal and external stakeholders
- creating and maintaining technical documentation to facilitate new integration requirements
- building design artifacts with input from developers for outcomes to be enabled in a verifiable manner
- conducting analysis and making recommendations for potential solutions, tools and approaches to deliver the desired system capabilities
- working directly with the Business and other stakeholders to provide technical and functional support for their day-to-day operations of FLEXCUBE, OBDX and Oracle Banking Applications
- identify, research, resolve technical issues, in close conjunction with vendors
- creating and maintain documentation for Butterfield’s E-Payment systems and processes
- drafting and defining the scope for test plans and perform end-to-end testing to ensure the quality of the project’s deliverables
- working in relation with the other Bred-IT Teams (Network, Infrastructure, Core-Banking)
- working closely with and providing updates to business stakeholders and subject matter experts, technology colleagues, consultants and vendors to ensure timely and efficient completion of project deliverables
- reviewing, analysing, streamlining and documenting business processes and operational procedures
- planning, organise and prioritise a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner
About the team
Information Technology covers a wide range of responsibilities at Butterfield including oversight of the Bank’s entire technology infrastructure, software development and maintenance to facilitate online product development and efficiencies as well as management of the website and intranet platforms. IT also plays a critical role in ensuring the Bank’s systems are kept safe and secure from cyber criminals.
Your qualifications and skills include:
- post-secondary education coupled with a minimum of four years’ experience in applications implementation, testing and support with at least two years’ experience working with Oracle Banking Applications
- understanding and knowledge of banking concepts and core-banking applications. Knowledge of Corporate and Retail Banking would be advantageous
- the technical skills and ability to be able to work with vendors and investigate applications in depth
- experience with Oracle Database and Java
- effective time management and organisation skills with the ability to multi-task in a busy timeline driven environment
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners providing ongoing communication and progress updates
