Mr. Sykes is a career banker with over 35 years experience in corporate and private banking. He joined Butterfield Private Bank in London in 2002 and was promoted to Managing Director, Butterfield Bank (UK) Limited in 2010. Prior to joining Butterfield, Mr. Sykes had a career of almost 28 years with Clydesdale Bank both in Scotland and London, culminating in the position of Regional Business Manager, London, followed by a two-year spell as Senior Private Banking Manager in London. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, Deputy Chairman of The Bermuda Society and a Trustee of the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences.
